BIHAR UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES Bihar University of Health Sciences (BUHS), Patna was established on July 1, 2022 by the Government of Bihar through the Bihar University of Health Sciences Act 2021 (Bihar Act 19 of 2021) to affiliate all the existing health science colleges and institutions. The emblem of the university is in circular shape. The design is an abstract illustration of grains and the numerous grains are symbolic of the multitude of population. The circular shape signifies the three hundred and sixty degree medical education which the university is set to impart. The Caduceus or the Staff of Hermes, entwined by two snakes and surmounted wings is the symbol of medicine. The cross and the human element symbolises the medical faculty and its relationship with students. The human figure is an organic shape and is also descriptive of regular advancement in medical education. The two hands symbolise expert care by the teachers and doctors. Purple symbolises peace and
