KAVIYATRI BAHINABAI CHAUDHARI NORTH MAHARASHTRA UNIVERSITY The emblem of Kaviyatri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University (KBC NMU) has a traditional lamp supporting an open book with a backdrop of rising sun.Theses are ensconced by a circular border. A banner surmounting the motifs carries the name of the university in Devanagari. Below the motif, on a banner its motto in Marathi ‘अंतरी पेटवू ज्ञानज्योत’ meaning ‘Let us Light the Flame of Knowledge’ and the year of inception of university is written below the banner. The lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the book denotes knowledge, learning, education and wisdom and the sun symbolises life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.
