NANAJI DESHMUKH PASHU CHIKITSA VIGYAN VISHWAVIDYALAYA The emblem of Nanaji Deshmukh Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya (NDVSU) has a blue circular border bearing the name and place of the university inscribed. It houses a white circular border and a light blue circle. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘जीवोः रक्षति रक्षितः’ meaning ‘Life Protects Those Who Protect It’ and its year of inception are written on the white border. On the light blue circle, motifs of Staff of Hermes with a pair of entwined serpents and wings and crested by rising sun; a hen, a tiger, a fish and cattle representing veterinary medicine and science. The sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.

DEVI AHILYA VISHWAVIDYALAYA The circular emblem of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAU) has a hand holding a torch with flame supported by an open book and a pair of laurels with a backdrop of water. The circle holding these motifs are ensconced by a green border, on which its name and motto in Sanskrit ‘धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्’ (Sage Vishwamitra, Mandala 3.12.60, Gayatri Mantra, Rig Veda) meaning ‘May He Enlighten Our Intellect’ are inscribed. The torch with flame an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; the open book represents learning, knowledge, education and wisdom; the wavy water represents growth, renewal and transformation and the colour green symbolises agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

MAHATMA PHULE KRISHI VIDYAPEETH The emblem of Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV) has three green leaves surmounted by its name and supported by its motto in Sanskrit ‘अन्नं बहु कुर्वीत तद् व्रतम्’ (Verse 1, Chapter 9, Bhrigu Valli, Taittiriya Upanishad) meaning ‘Thou Shalt Increase and Amass Food’. These are ensconced by a red circular border created with the motifs 44 humans holding their hands, signifying unity is strength. The leaves represent the agriculture and agriculturist; the leaves denote growth and rebirth; the colour green denotes agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth and the red denotes passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy.

MAHARASHTRA NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, AURANGABAD The tricolour emblem of Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad (MNLUA) has the picture of Kailash Temple pillar from Ellora caves located in Aurangabad supported by the swooshes of tricolour within a circle. This is ensconced by a blue and tricolour decorative borders in which its name and place are inscribed. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘यतो धर्मस्ततो जयः’ ( Mahabharata ) meaning ‘Where There is Dharma, There will Be Victory’ is inscribed below the seal.

KRISHNA VISHWA VIDYAPEETH The seal of Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (KVV) is a blue shield white border lines and motifs in white. The shield houses the motifs of a Staff of Hermes with a pair of entwined serpents and wings supported by an open book at the bottom and a pair of laurels on sides. Its acronym and three stars are placed at the bottom. MADHAV UNIVERSITY The emblem of Madhav University (MU) is a monogram has a monogram of its acronym in black and white on an orange background and supported by its name written on a black band in white using sans serif bold condensed typeface. The letter ‘U’ is treated as ‘gopi chandan tilak’ as applied by the devotees of Lord Krishna.
