INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE Indian Institute of Science (IISc) came into existence on May 27, 1909 in Bangalore following a vesting order and resolution passed by the government of India to establish the Institute. In August 2019 IISc got a new logo. The new seal is a refined version of IISc’s traditional emblem made compatible with modern digital media. The current logo is six pointed hexagram (greek) or sexagram (Latin) created using strokes of orange, bright green and blue is fresh, is used to conjure spiritual forces. The acronym of the name is written in black in upper and lowercase letters.

NATIONAL PROGRAMME ON TECHNOLOGY ENHACED LEARNING National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), is a joint venture of the IITs and IISc, funded by the Ministry of Education (MoE) Government of India and was launched in 2003. Initially started as a project to take quality education to all corners of the country, NPTEL now offers close to 600 plus courses for certification every semester in about 22 disciplines. This is the largest online repository in the world of courses in engineering, basic sciences and selected humanities and management subjects with its YouTube channel it is the most subscribed educational channel. It has more than 56000 hours of video content, transcribed and subtitled and its library of peer-reviewed. It has translated more than 12000 hours of English transcripts in regional Indian languages. NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ELECTRONICS AND  INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY   National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) is an autonomous body of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. The Centre is a premier organisation for education, training, R&D and consultancy in IT and electronics. The history of NIELIT dates back to 1974 when the Department of Electronics (DoE) now Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEIT), Government of India and the University Grants Commission (UGC) set up the first CEDT within the premises of Indian Institute of Science (IISc.), Bangalore with assistance from Swiss Development Corporation.
