PUNJAB ENGINEERING COLLEGE Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) (PEC) started in Lahore as Mugalpura Engineering College in 1921. The institute became Deemed University in 2003 through a MHRD notification and rechristened as PEC University of Technology in 2009. The emblem of the university is its acronym created using yellow sans serif bold font. The top horizontal stroke of ‘E’ is tilting upwards and is in red colour indicating inquisitiveness and ready to go higher. Below the acronym its motto ‘Explore Innovation Excel’ is written in red. The emblem is trendy, bold and attractive. The colour yellow symbolises happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity and the colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.
