INTERNATIONAL GITA MAHOTSAV The pictorial emblem of International Gita Mahotsav (IGM) has The Konark Chakra or Sun wheel supporting a globe of the world, and crested and supported by the embellishments of Sri Sudarshan Chakra and superimposed by Panchajanya or the sacred conch. The name of the conference is written on the left side of the wheel in Devanagari ‘अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय गीता महोत्सव’. The sacred conch is written on with the motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्वमावृत्य तिष्ठति’ (Verse 14, Chapter 13, Srimad Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Brahman pervades all the Universe’. The Sun Wheel refers to progression, assiduity and vivacity; the Sudarshan Chakra represents time, power and energy; the Panchajanya represents five elements, creation and the power to protect, create and destroy; the globe represents the universality of Gita and the Chakra and Conch represent Lord Sri Krishna.
