NORTH DELHI MUNICIPAL CORPORATION Municipal Corporation of Delhi (DMC), the second largest civic body was trifurcated in 2012 into North DMC, South DMC and East DMC. The insignia of North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) is in the form of a shield in green, red and blue has been divided into three parts. The top two parts show public waste and a monument. The third part has an open book, below which a drain is shown. It is surrounded by a circular border, on which the name of the corporation is written in Devanagari and English. This is supported by a pedestal. A banner at the bottom has its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ meaning ‘From Darkness to Light’ is written on it. This colourful logo with yellow, red, green and blue is an interesting attention grabber.
