CHELLAMMAL WOMEN'S COLLEGE (CWC) The emblem of Chellammal Women's College (CWC) features a portrait of the Smt. Chellamal, whose name the college bears and the shield-shaped emblem of C. Kandaswami Naidu College, with the name of the college written between. The emblem on the right features the motifs of an entrance facade, a torch with flame with ‘Knowledge’ written on and a lotus on water; supported by a banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Latin ‘Mens Agitat Molem’ meaning ‘Mind Moves Matter (line 727, Book VI, Virgil's Aeneid); and crested by a raising sun. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the facade symbolises a threshold between the outer, profane world and the inner, sacred or private space; the torch with flame denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; and the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth...

CENTRAL WATER COMMISSION The circular seal of the Central Water Commission has a five petalled flower with a water dam, a powerline on sea water, a borewell pump, plants of cereal and a high tension transmission line each placed inside a petal. The flower is placed in an orange circle and this assembly is ensconced by a yellow circular border, on which its name in Devanagari and English and its motto in Sanskrit ‘आपो ज्योति रसोऽमृतम’ meaning ‘May That Awakens Our Intelligence’ are inscribed. The motifs inside the petals refer to the applications of water in daily life of society.

CWC is currently operating 469 Warehouses across the country with a storage capacity of 10.04 million tonnes providing warehousing services for a wide range of products ranging from agricultural produce to sophisticated industrial products. Its emblem in red colour has its acronym depicted as silos with produce with a roof.
