ADI SHANKARA INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY The circular emblem of Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering Technology is a service mark with blue gera wheel housing the picture of Sri Adi Shankaracharya sitting on a lotus placed on a globe. This is supported by an open book and a pair of traditional lamps. On a banner placed below the gear wheel its motto in Sanskrit ‘;विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written. The gear wheel refers to interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; lotus refers to purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; open book refers to knowledge, education, learning, intelligence and wisdom and the lamps refer to light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.
