KARNATAKA VIKAS GRAMEENA BANK Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank (KVGB) came into existence by notification dated September 12, 2005 of Government of India, amalgamating the four Regional Rural Banks sponsored by e-Syndicate Bank in the State of Karnataka namely: Malaprabha Grameena Bank, Bijapur Grameena Bank, Varada Grameena Bank and Netravathi Grameena Bank. The emblem of KVGB has a map of the State of Karnataka and a pair of hands supporting it in blue colour, with a bright rising sun in yellow forming the background. The rising sun denotes ‘vikas’ meaning progress, development or expanding; the hands holding the map denote the supporting hands of the bank in the development of the State’s people, agriculture and industry. The square shape denotes even handedness and being perfect and just. The colour yellow signifies happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity. Overall, the logo represents the State, its geography and all-inclusive banking.
