AGNIKUL COSMOS PRIVATE LIMITED AgniKul Cosmos Private Limited (ACPL) is an Indian aerospace manufacturer based in National Center for Combustion R&D (NCRD) of IIT Madras, Chennai. The start up aims to develop and launch its own small-lift launch vehicle such as the Agnibaan, capable of placing 100 kg (220 lb) payload into a 700 km (430 mi) orbit. Agnikul is a derivative of the Sanskrit word - 'Gurukul' and it could be interpreted to mean 'a place where people learn to use fire'. In 2017 Agnikul Cosmos was formally incorporated as a company in Chennai, India. Its logo in olive green colour has an its name written with a modern sans serif type, with the 'A' is treated like a rocket head without its horizontal stroke.
