SAVEETHA AMARAVATI UNIVERSITY Saveetha Amaravati University (SAU) was established at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh in 2018. The emblem of the university is in the form of a shield with the ‘Vel, the sacred spear of Lord Murgan in the middle supported by its acronym ‘SAU’ in blue and brown. The shield has a yellow coloured horizontal banner on which ‘Estd. 2017’ is written. Below the shield its motto ‘Enlighten Educate Empower’ is written. The sacred Vel of Lord Murugan denotes victory, removal of obstacles, growth, wealth and prosperity; the colour blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour brown signifies the earthiness, simplicity, stability, humility, warmth, reliability, endurance, timelessness and tradition.

SAVEETHA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL AND TECHNICAL SCIENCE Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS) is a deemed-to-be-university located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It offers courses in dentistry, management, law, engineering, medicine, liberal arts, sciences, nursing, medical and physiotherapy through its colleges and schools located in Poonamallee and Thandalam.
