Below the seal, on a banner, the initials of the managing trust ‘VSST’ is written. The swans are sacred and are symbols of grace and beauty; the book refers to education, learning and wisdom; and the other symbols refer to the college's location and its vision for educating the students.

The emblem of VCE has a book supporting a compass, T-square and gear wheel. These are ensconced in the semicircular blue border made by its name. Below these an orange banner carries its name in black and at its bottom the year of its establishment is written.
