MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF CHANDIGARH The blue colour circular emblem of Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh (MCC) has a rose supported by the ‘Open Hand’ which is a giant metallic sculpture of the Capital Complex of Chandigarh, with a backdrop of ‘M’. These are ensconced in a circular border which carries the name of the institution. The colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

So far, the complaints about violations of Model Code of Conduct often could not be followed instantly, leading to the violators escaping detection from the action squads. Also, due to lack of any documented evidence in the form of pictures, audios or videos it was seen as a hurdle in verifying a complaint. cVIGIL Citizen Mobile App (cVIGIL) empowers citizens to report Model Code of Conduct Violations such as bribery, free gift, liquor distribution, playing loudspeakers beyond the permissible time during the elections. Its logo in blue and black has a location marker with an eye and shelter atop. This symbolises vigil and protection to vigilantes.
