MAHARISHI ARVIND UNIVERSITY The emblem of Maharishi Arvind University (MAU) has a pictorial of the faces of holding a lotus and surrounded by three curved strokes with its name written below the pictorial in two lines. On the right of this emblem three curved strokes in blue converging at the bottom are placed. The pictorial symbolises human thinking and the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty. The colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

MAHARAJA SURAJMAL BRIJ UNIVERSITY The emblem of Maharaja Surajmal Brij University (MSBU) has a traditional lamp supported by an open book with its year of inception placed on it and its motto in Sanskrit ‘नास्ति विद्या समं चक्षु’ (Verse 12.169.33, Mahabharata) meaning ‘Knowledge is the Greatest Eye’ on a blue banner, below the book and a pair of laurels on sides. These are ensconced in a red colour circular border, whose outer edge is depicted as a multi-pointed glow as a sun, which carries its name in Devanagari and English. The traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the open book symbolises education, knowledge, learning and wisdom; the laurels symbolise ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication and the sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.
