NORTH EASTERN INSTITUTE OF AYURVEDA & HOMOEOPATHY The circular seal of North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Homoeopathy (NEIAH) has a blue circle housing the motifs of a sun, the Staff of Hermes and mortar and pestle and its tagline. The circle is ensconced by a white circular border on which its name is inscribed in English and Devanagari. On the mortar its motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः’ (1.4.14, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘May All be Healthy’ is written. Below the circle, on a banner its date of establishment and ‘Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India’ are written. The Staff of Hermes refers to medicine and medical profession; the sun refers to life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity and the mortar and pestle refer to the traditional medical systems.
