HEMCHAND YADAV VISHWAVIDYALAYA The emblem of Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya (HYV) has a twelve petalled circular spread of lotus, houses a blue circular border, which is inscribed with the name and place of the university in Devanagari and English. The yellow circle inside the border houses the motifs of a Shivling supported by a pair of leaves of Aegle marmelos or bilva supporting a nib of a pen with a glowing tip and its year of inception. Below the Shivling its motto in Sanskrit ‘ऋते जगतु न मुक्तिः’ (Verse 15, Rasahrdaya Tantra, Govinda Bhagavatpada) meaning 'Knowledge Alone Does Not Lead to Liberation’ meaning is inscribed.
