PRESIDENCY UNIVERSITY The blue and white emblem of Presidency University Kolkata (PUK) has a traditional lamp with a waving flame with three swooshes placed in a circle. This is supported by a pair of laurels and surmounted by words ‘Excellence Since 1817’. At the bottom its name and place is written in serif typeface. The traditional lamp denotes light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity and the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
