ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES BHUBANESWAR All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar is one of the apex healthcare Institutes established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). Its circular logo in golden brown has the wheel of Sun Temple, Konark superimposed by the traditional symbol of the Caduceus to represent medicine - the staff of the winged messenger, which is intertwined by two serpents. This is crested by the Bhuddhist stupa of Dhauli. These are ensconced by a circular border which carries its name. Below the insignia, its mottos are written in Sanskrit ‘कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेशु कधाचना’ and ‘परा यक्षमं सुबामि ते’, which means ‘You have right to your actions, never to the fruits’ and ‘Cure from tuberculosis’.
