SPICES BOARD The Spices Board was constituted as a Statutory Body on February 26, 1987 under Section (3) of the Spices Board Act, 1986. The Board is headed by a chairman with its head office at Kochi and is responsible for the development of cardamom industry and promoting the export of all the fifty-seven spices listed in the Spices Board Act, 1986. Its indigo coloured logo has a ship with its sails on water in a circle within which its name in English is written and below the ship ‘India’ is written. Below the circle, the name of he Board and ‘Bharat’ are written in Devanagari.
