MAA SHAKUMBHARI UNIVERSITY The red and pink emblem of Maa Shakumbhari University (MSU) has a circle with green outline houses the motifs of an open book, a gear wheel, an electronic circuit, water, a pair of laurels, monogram of its acronym and its year of establishment. This circle is placed on a pink lotus with 8 petals. These are ensconced by a red circular border, on which its name is inscribed in Devanagari and its motto in Sanskrit ‘तेजस्विनावधीतमस्तु’ (Dialogue between Nachiketa and Yamacharya, 19, Canto 3, Part 3, Katha Upanishad, Krishna Yajur Veda) meaning ‘May our Study be Vigorous and Effective’. MEDHAVI SKILLS UNIVERSITY The emblem of Medhavi Skills University (MSU) is a monogram using its acronym ‘MSU’ in cyan and yellow ochre colours. Overall it appears like a swan which symbolises Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of Learning. The colour cyan denotes clarity, cleanliness, liveliness, tranquillity, youth and energy and the yellow ochre denotes optimism and is a symbol of life.

MANONMANIAM SUNDARANAR UNIVERSITY Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU) was established as a teaching cum affiliating University on September 7, 1990, which is spread over 550 acres. The university is named after the renowned Tamil poet scholar, Professor P. Sundaram Pillai (1855-1897), the author of the famous verse drama Manonmaniam. The tagline of the University is ‘Reaching the Unreached’. The emblem of the university is a shield supported by a banner. The shield holds the motifs of an elephant, gopuram, portrait of Sundaranar and a glowing sun above water. At the bottom, on a banner its motto in Tamil ‘அறிவே அனைத்து ஆற்றலும்’ meaning 'All the Power is Knowledge’.
