DR. A.P.J. ABDUL KALAM TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY The circular seal of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) in the form of a brown gear wheel houses the motifs of glowing flame of a traditional lamp supported on side by a pair of fish and surmounted by its motto in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’ on a blue circle. This is circumscribed by a green border which carries the name of the university. The wheel of gear denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity and the pair of fish denoting the State of Uttar Pradesh.

APJ ABDUL KALAM TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (initially Kerala Technological University) (APJ AKTU), a State Government University has come into existence on May 21, 2014 with an aim to give leadership to the technology related policy formulation and engineering planning for the State. The emblem of the university has a two coloured shield in blue and greenish ochre colours in top and bottom. Its earlier acronym ‘KTU’ is written in the shield supported by an open book in a circular cut out. The shield is crested with its name in violet. The shield symbolises safety, protection, readiness to overcome difficulties, power, valiance and cooperation and the open signifies education, knowledge and wisdom.
