NOORUL ISLAM CENTRE FOR HIGHER EDUCATION Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NISHE) comprising of Noorul Islam College of Engineering has been declared as a Deemed to be University by Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of Higher Education), Government of India under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, on the advice of UGC, vide Notification No.F.9-51/2004-U.3 dated December 8, 2008. The gold and brown emblem of NICHE is a gear wheel with the icons of a computer; Caduceus or Staff of Hermes with a pair of wings and serpents; a power transmission tower; set of books, a scroll of certificate and mortarboard hat and a traditional lamp held by a pair of hands. All these are ensconced in a border which carries the name of the university.
