NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ARUNACHAL PRADESH The National Institute of Technology, Arunachal Pradesh (NITAP) was inaugurated on August 18, 2010 as a member of a group of ten new NITs. The emblem of NIT Arunachal Pradesh depicts the value and aim of education and at the same time glorifies the natural beauty of Arunachal Pradesh. In the logo rising sun reminds us of the fact that Arunachal Pradesh is known as ‘land of rising sun’ in India. Rising sun signifies that this institute will produce new emerging talents. Open book symbolises academic betterment of students with the help of books and produce assets for the country. Two figures in the book indicate that the institute will motivate students to rise as high as the sky and come out with flying colours. A pen tip in the sun signifies the importance of education. NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ANDHRA PRADESH National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh (NIT AP) is the thirty-first institution among the chain of NITs started by the Government of India. NIT Andhra Pradesh was established in the state of Andhra Pradesh recently in the academic year 2015-2016. Its circular emblem has a ‘Poorna Kumbham’ or ‘Kalasha’ which means ‘Full or Complete Vessel’ when the pot is referred to as the Kalasha. The Purna-Kalasha is considered a symbol of abundance and 'Source of Life' in the Vedas. Purna-Kumbha is a Vedic motif, known from the time of Rigveda. It is held above the lotus, which is supported by a book and a pair of laurels of cereal on both the sides. These are ensconced in a circle, which is closed by a circular gear wheel, on which the name of the institute in Hindi and English and its tagline ‘श्रमेव जयते’ meaning ‘Hard Work Triumphs’ are written.
