SRI VENKATESWARA UNIVERSITY Sri Venkateswara University was established in 1954, in Tirupati to cater to the educational needs and aspirations of people of the Rayalaseema Region of Andhra Pradesh and has completed sixty eight years of service. he emblem of the university has a shield with an image of Seven Hills representing the seven hills of Tirumala; a white lotus signifying purity and enlightenment; a pair of seahorses symbolises generosity, friendliness, positivity, anchorage, contentment, patience and persistence and crested by the Sudarshan Chakra symbolising the disc of Lord Maha Vishnu. Below the shield on a white banner the motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानं सम्यगवेक्षनम्’ meaning ‘Knowledge is Proper Observation’ is written.
