These are ensconced by an orange gear wheel supported by a pair of laurels on sides and a blue banner at the bottom. On the gear wheel, its name is written. On the banner its tagline in Sanskrit ‘विद्या ददाति विनयं’ (Narayana Pandit, Hitopadehsa) meaning ‘Knowledge Gives Humility’ is written. The emblem is crested with Ashoka Lion Capital. The nib refers to freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; the open book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the antenna refers to telecommunications; the archway refers to entrance to new vistas; the gear wheel refers to interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancemen...
