SWIMMING FEDERATION OF INDIA The Swimming Federation of India (SFI) is the national governing body for aquatic sports in India. Legally, it is a nonprofit association registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961. The federation holds elections for its office bearers every four years. The SFI oversees competitions in the sports of swimming, masters swimming, synchronised swimming, diving, high diving and water polo. It is affiliated to FINA and the Asian Swimming Federation (ASF). Its circular emblem in blue, red and green has a six-pointed star with ‘S’ and ‘F’ forming an interesting shape of a swimming pool and its markings, ensconced by borders with blue lines on which ‘Swimming Federation’ and ‘India’ separated by a pair of green dots are written.
