ADITYA BIRLA GROUP The Aditya Birla Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The group has a presence in thirty six nations and derives over fifty percent of its revenue from its global operations. The group was founded in 1857 by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla, a textile trader. The group's businesses are diversified across a wide range of industries, including cement, metals, textiles, chemicals, financial services and retail. The corporate mark of the group is a fine blend of continuity and change. It captures our legacy and moves on with modernity. Our energy derives from the sun, termed Aditya in our mythology, and so closely linked with the name of our legendary leader and my father, Aditya Vikram Birla. The logo uses yellow, orange and tones of red and is made using the abstract forms of ‘A’ and ‘V’ intersected by sun, resulting in a structural and geometric creation in bright colours.
