GANDHINAGAR UNIVERSITY The blue and gold emblem of Gandhinagar University (GU) has its acronym written as monogram, with ‘U’ treated as a shield holding a phoenix. Below this its name is written in sans serif bold in blue and gold. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the phoenix symbolises renewal, resurrection and rebirth; the colour blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour gold signifies wealth, prosperity, power, prestige and achievement.
