CENTRE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING AND TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY The Ahmedabad Education Society (AES) established the Centre for Environment Planning and Technology University (CEPT) in 1962 with the inception of the School of Architecture through grant-in-aid from the Government of Gujarat. CEPT became a University by the Gujarat State Legislature Act of 2005 with effect from April 12, 2005. The University comprises faculties of architecture, planning, technology, design and management. The insignia of the university is a wordmark of its acronym ‘CEPT’ in black crisp sans serif font supported by ‘University’ in a thin experimental font in blue, yellow, green and red colours. The insignia stands out for its uniqueness and simplicity without clutter.
