BHARATHIDASAN COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE (BCAS) The logo of Bharathidasan College of Arts and Science (BCAS) features a pictorial of a shield housing the motifs of a nib of a pen, a traditional lamp, a torch with flame, a pair of keys and a crown. The shield is supported by a blue banner inscribed with the name of the college. A pair of laurels are placed on the ends of the banner. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the nib of a pen symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence;  the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the torch is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the pair of keys refers to the divine authority and spiritual power bestowed upon St. Peter in Christian tradition; the crown symbolises supreme authority, sovereignty, and royalty; and the laurels are symbols of ceremon...

BUREAU OF CIVIL AVIATION SECURITY The emblem of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has a map of India placed above the radar screen with a grid supported by a pair of laurels. Its acronym in English and Devanagari surmounts the motifs and India’s National Motto ‘सत्यमेव जयते’ meaning ‘Truth Alone Triumphs’ supports. An Indian National Tricolour band supports the radar screen horizontally. The map and the radar represent the aviation and the domain of the Bureau and laurels represent victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
