The university’s emblem has a torch in the colours a flame - from blue to red is circumscribed by its name in Devanagari and English. Below the torch its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ meaning ‘Lead Me from Darkness to Light’ is written. The torch and colourful flame signifies enlightenment and hope; wisdom and knowledge.
