MAHARAJA BIR BIKRAM UNIVERSITY Maharaja Bir Bikram University is a State University established on November 1, 2015 in Agartala by the Tripura Act No.6 of 2015. The university offers doctoral, postgraduate and undergraduate programmes in three subjects and library science and has three affiliated colleges. The red circular emblem of the university has an open book supporting a rising sun in a red circle placed on a floral background and is ensconced by a circular border on which its motto ‘Ideas Imagination Innovations’ and its name. The open book symbolises education, knowledge and wisdom; the rising sun symbolises light, universal prosperity and path for growth and the flower symbolises youth, beauty and pleasure.
