MAHATMA GANDHI UNIVERSITY The emblem of Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Yellareddyugudem, Nalgonda features the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam ensconced by a gear wheel. This is circumscribed by a cyan circular border with traditional designs. The name of the university is written around the border in Telugu, Devanagari and Urdu. Another blue and orange border circle bears the name of the university in English. These are surmounted by Ashoka Chakra and supported by a pair of peacocks. Below the circular motif a white banner carries its motto in Telugu ‘సా విద్యా యా విముక్తయే’ (Rishi Parāśara, 1,19.41, Viṣṇu Purāṇa) meaning ‘Knowledge  is one that Liberates’. KAKATIYA UNIVERSITY The emblem of Kakatiya University (KU) has the ‘Kakatiya Thoranam’ as its central motif and ensconced by a decorative circular border. It is surmounted by the national emblem ‘Ashoka Chakra’ which is supported on by a pair of serpents. Below the ‘Thoranam’ a Poorna Kumbha’ or Kalasham is placed. The name of the university is written on a circular border in English and Devanagari. Below the circular seal on a black banner embellished with ornaments, the name of the university is written in Telugu. DAMODARAM SANJIVAYYA NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY The emblem of Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) houses the motifs of Lady Justice (Lustitia) with the attributes of scales, sword and a blindfold; an open book symbolising knowledge, education and wisdom and poorna kumbha denoting fullness and abundant prosperity supported by a pair of laurels symbolising ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication, all placed on a light green circle. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘यतो धर्मस्ततो जयः’ (Udyoga Parva 37.09) meaning ‘Act Dharma Thus Win’ is placed on a green banner below the motifs. POTTI SREERAMULU TELUGU UNIVERSITY The seal of Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University (PSTU) has a lotus holding a ‘Poorna Kumbha’ with all its embellishments of a coconut and mango leaves placed over the glowing sun. These are ensconced by a circular border in yellow which carries the name of the university in Telugu and English. BABA MASTNATH UNIVERSITY Baba Mastnath University (BMU), Rohtak was established in 2012 under the Haryana Private Universities Act 2006. The university is run by Shri Baba Mastnath Math, Asthal Bohar. The university emblem in tones of orange has a portrait of Sri Baba Mastnath in a circle with an orange outline and a reddish orange border. KRISHNA UNIVERSITY On the recommendations of Knowledge Commission, Krishna University (KrU) was established, vide Andhra Pradesh Act.No.4 of 1991, G.O’ Ms. No.89 Higher Education (U.E.II) dated June 25, 2008 and G.O Ms. No.109, Higher Education (U.E.II) department dated July 14, 2008 at Machilipatnam, as the town is the headquarters of Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh. ADIKAVI NANNAYA UNIVERSITY Adikavi Nannaya University was established on April 22, 2006, by an Act of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly to meet the higher education needs of East and West Godavari districts. The emblem of Adikavi Nannaya University represents human quest for knowledge and righteousness, wisdom and wealth, harmonising nativity and tradition. The name of the university is written in English in between inner and outer lines having tricolours of India, with the Asoka Dharma Chakra placed atop, which stands for righteousness. The circle of sixty four flowers on the Buddhist Stupa in Saranath, reflects the sixty four traditional arts and sciences. The rising sun represents the spread of knowledge. SHRI GOVIND GURU UNIVERSITY Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU), Godhra was established as a teaching and affiliating university by Act Number 24 of September 16, 2015 of Government of Gujarat. Its emblem has a vessel - poorna kumbha in which orange, cyan and blue swooshes flow in and blue and yellow humans come out, symbolising the multifaceted input and the turning around of enlightened humans. The poorna kumbha has a swastika along with other decorations. These are ensconced in an orange circular border which carries its name supported by two dots. At the bottom its motto in Sanskrit ‘अमृतम् तु विद्या’ meaning ‘The Nectar is Education’ is inscribed on a banner. The swastika symbolises well being; poorna kumbha - full pot signifies abundant prosperity in a traditional agriculture based economy and the colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

TELANGANA UNIVERSITY

TELANGANA UNIVERSITY Telangana University was established through Act Number 28 of the State Government in the year 2006 with an objective to make higher education accessible to the educationally backward District of Nizamabad in Telangana. The emblem of the university is in the form of a shield with a broad white border bearing its name in English and Urdu; its motto in Telugu along with poorna kumbha supported by a pair of swans holding lotuses. Inside the border, the images of classrooms and a computer; a batch of graduating students; paddy fields and a big water dam are provided as the representation of Telegana’s geography. Atop the shield its name in Telugu is written. Purna Kumbha signifying a sense of fulfilment, a totality of being that follows true education; swans are sacred and are symbols of grace and beauty; lotuses denote purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty.

UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES The University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) was established in 1971 as a Constituent College of University of Delhi. The emblem of the university college has the Staff of Hermes or Caduceus, depicted as a stick entwined by two snakes representing the medical profession; a 'poorna kumbh' topped with lotus symbolising life at its finest, abundance and God; lotus signifying purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; a pair of elephants signifying power, strength, unity and wisdom and water signifying life, motion and fertility. All these motifs are topped by a banner inscribed with its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ meaning ‘From Darkness, Lead me to Light’. This banner and all the motifs are placed on a plaque. At the bottom on a banner, the name of the college is written and below that its location and year of establishment is written.

VIKRAMA SIMHAPURI UNIVERSITY Vikrama Simhapuri University, Nellore, came into being, fulfilling the long cherished dream of the people of SPS Nellore District on September 24, 2008. The emblem of Vikrama Simhapuri University carries on its top the Sudarsana Chakra indicating the immortality of the pursuit of dispelling the forces of darkness leading to the dawning of the light of truth and wisdom, Tamasoma Jyotirgamaya. The Sudarsana Chakra also shows how Vikrama Simhapuri University carves itself out of the territorial jurisdiction of Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF ANDHRA PRADESH Central University of Andhra Pradesh (CUAP) holds a special place in the Indian university system. The university was established in 2018 in the district headquarter town of Anantapuramu in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. The circular emblem of the university has the sun - the symbol of alchemy, life, influence and strength. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्या ददाति विनयं’ means 'Knowledge Leads to Fulfilment and Happiness'. Open book symbolises spreading of unlimited access to quality education. The pagodas of Sri Krishnadevaraya (A.D. 1509 - 1529) of Tuluva Dynasty were one of the greatest rulers of Vijayanagara.
