V.O. Below this its tagline ‘Global Connect’ is written and at the right its name is written in Tamil, Devanagari and English. The colour blue denotes water and symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty. V.O. CHIDAMBARANAR PORT AUTHORITY 2023 Its emblem has a lighthouse, a ship, a crane and other elements of seaport are in the form of a seashell ensconced by a yellow circle, on the border of which its name is written in Tamil, Devanagari and English in cyan. Thoothukudi is historically well known for pearl forming. The circle has an orange border.
