GULBARGA UNIVERSITY The red and blue emblem of Gulbarga University (GU) has a motif of the stone chariot of Hampi representing the heritage and culture of the land ensconced by circular blue border lines. The border houses the name of the university in Kannada. Below the chariot an open book denoting knowledge, education, learning and wisdom is kept. Its motto in Kannada ‘ವಿದ್ಯೆಯೇ ಅಮೃತ’ meaning ‘Education is Elixir' is written
