JANARDAN RAI NAGAR RAJASTHAN VIDYAPEETH Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth is a Deemed University in Udaipur, Rajasthan. It became a deemed university in 1987. The circular emblem of the university has a tower of a temple housing a man and woman worshipping Goddess Saraswati supported by an open book. On the pages of the book its motto in Sanskrit ‘рд╕рд░рд╕्рд╡рддी рджेрд╡рдпрди्рддो рд╣рд╡рди्рддे’ (10.17.7 Rigveda) meaning ‘The Devout Invoke Saraswati’ is written. At the bottom a traditional lamp is placed. Below these on a banner the name of the university and place are written in Devanagari. At the bottom, on a banner its year of founding is written. The Goddess Saraswati is the god for learning, knowledge and wisdom; the open book denotes knowledge and wisdom and the traditional lamp denotes light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.
