UTTARAKHAND GRAMIN BANK Uttarakhand Gramin Bank (UGB), sponsored by the State Bank of India established under the RRBs Act 1976, came into existence on November 1, 2012, after the amalgamation of the two erstwhile RRBs viz. Uttaranchal Gramin Bank, Dehradun and Nainital Almora Kshetriya Gramin Bank, Haldwani in Uttarakhand State. The cyan colour emblem of the bank uses a big sans serif ‘U’, with a motif of a human in its counter. The ‘U’ symbolises not only the bank, but also the beneficiaries and prospective customers, as symbolised by the icon. This also represents the rivers in the state of Uttarakhand. The colour cyan, often referred to as light blue or aqua, symbolises clarity, freshness, spirituality, serenity, calmness, peace, tranquillity, trust, stability and reliability and it is used to convey a sense of professionalism and dependability. This is an enormously simple and effective identity for a bank.
