PT. DEENDAYAL UPADHYAYA NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR PERSONS WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES The emblem of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities (PDUNIPPD) has Staff of Asclepius with an entwined serpent topped by a red flame of torch and supported by an open book on a blue circle. It is supported by a pair of green laurels on sides and a yellow semicircular banner carrying its name. At the bottom the name of the place is written on a banner. The Staff represents medicine and medical profession; the flame of torch refers to enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the book refers to education, learning, knowledge and wisdom and the laurels refer to ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
