COAL INDIA The world’s largest coal producer, Coal India Limited is a state-owned company engaged in coal mining and refining. Having headquarters in Kolkata, West Bengal, the Maharatna company has been ranked eight among the top twenty firms behind a third of all global carbon emissions and it contributes to around 82% of the coal production in India.
