PUNJAB AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY Punjab Agricultural University was established in 1962 to serve the state of erstwhile Punjab on July 8, 1963. Haryana Agricultural University was carved out of this university in February 1970 and HP Krishi Vishvavidalya established at Palampur campus in July 1970 by Acts of Parliament. Its emblem has a head of wheat plant with kernels in orange colour placed above flowing rivers and supported by an open book and a plough on a green shield. The shield is crested by a rising sun and a blue banner bearing its motto ‘Learn and Serve’ is placed above the shield at the bottom. These are circumscribed by its name and its year of establishment. All these are ensconced in a yellow circle with black border line.
