SARABHAI INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (SIST) The seal of Sarabhai Institute of Science and Technology (SIST) features a globe with an orbiting ring hosting a rocket supported by traditional lamps and an open book ensconced by an orange border inscribed with its name and place and held by a brown gearwheel. The globe refers to education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; the rocket refers to engineering and technology; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the book refers to education, learning, knowledge and wisdom; the gearwheel denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure.

SATHYABAMA INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology (SIST) is a prestigious institution which excels in the fields of engineering, science and technology for more than three successful decades. The university’s emblem has a wankel shield, which is divided into three parts where a computer, a dish antenna and a gear wheel are placed. The shield is crested by a mortarboard hat and supported by green laurels. Below this on a blue tone banner its motto ‘Justice Peace Revolution’ is written. At the bottom of these, the name of the university is written.
