The upward pointing arrows refer to growth, dynamism, ambition and achievement; the wheat stalks framing the central design are symbolic of agriculture, prosperity, and the rural communities that the cooperative bank serves and the handshake refers to  cooperation, agreement, togetherness, support and strength. The colours orange and green signifies nationalism.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi.
