INDIAN INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING KURNOOL Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing, Kurnool (IIITDMK) was announced in 2014 after receiving the assent of President of India to the Institutes of Information Technology Act, 2014 and its subsequent publication in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part- Il, Section I, on December 8, 2014. The logo is enclosed by a gear on the outer periphery. The function of the gear is to transmit the energy (motion) which symbolises that the institute believes in transferring its knowledge to the outside world for the benefit of the society. The gear is also a representation of motion which motivates the institute to always be on the move and never halt the progress of technology.
