BHATKHANDE SANSKRITI VISHWAVIDYALAYA
BHATKHANDE SANSKRITI VISHWAVIDYALAYA In 1926, Pandit Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhande established a music school in Lucknow with the help and co-operation of Rai Umanath Bali and Rai Rajeshwar Bali and other music patrons of Lucknow, in the State of Awadh. The Government of India by a notification on October 24, 2000, declared this institute as ‘Deemed University’. It is renamed as Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (BSV). Its circular emblem has a tanpura supporting its acronym in Devanagari in a circle, with drops of water splashing symbolising the effects of music. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘नादाधीन जगतू’ meaning ‘Self Conceited’ is written below the music instrument. It is ensconced in a running circular design of lotus pattern. These are circumscribed by a border which carries the name of the institute in Devanagari and English. An orange coloured circular border line is holding all the elements together.
