CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF ANDHRA PRADESH Central University of Andhra Pradesh (CUAP) holds a special place in the Indian university system. The university was established in 2018 in the district headquarter town of Anantapuramu in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. The circular emblem of the university has the sun - the symbol of alchemy, life, influence and strength. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्या ददाति विनयं’ means 'Knowledge Leads to Fulfilment and Happiness'. Open book symbolises spreading of unlimited access to quality education. The pagodas of Sri Krishnadevaraya (A.D. 1509 - 1529) of Tuluva Dynasty were one of the greatest rulers of Vijayanagara. He issued many gold coins and one of his extremely rare double pagoda coins depicts the standing posture of the Lord Venkateswara with a discus and conch on either of his hands.
