VIDYALANKAR INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ( VIT ) The wordmark logo of Vidyalankar Institute of Technology (VIT) features the initials of the college ‘VIT’ in blue colour in slab-serif capitals with outlines. The name of the college is placed on the right. The colour blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

VEMANA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (VIT) The emblem of Vemana Institute of Technology (VIT) features a three dimensional cyan colour letter ‘V’ inscribed with the motifs of a book with a lens, a DNA chain, a building, an atomic diagram and a set of gear wheels denoting learning, education and knowledge of science, engineering and technology. An image of the statue of Vemanna crests the letter ‘V’; surmounted by the name of the college and supported by the name of the managing trust. The assemblage is ensconced by a circle, supported by a pair of laurels on sides and by the college's motto ‘Knowledge is Power’ at the bottom. The laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

VELLORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) was established under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956 and in 1984 as a self-financing institution called the Vellore Engineering College. It was conferred university status in 2001. The emblem of VIT is the Sri Jalakandeswarar temple, located within Vellore Fort. Its gopuram and walls are prominent in this circular emblem with ‘VIT’ written above. This is ensconced in a circular border on which the name is written. At the bottom on a banner, its motto in Tamil ‘உழைப்பே உயர்வுதரும்’ meaning ‘Only Labour shall Elevate’ is written.
