SHER-E-KASHMIR UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY KASHMIR Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) was founded in 1982 by an Act passed by the State Legislature of Jammu and Kashmir. The emblem of the university has a structure of a DNA housing a sheep, pine tree, an apple and heads of cereals placed in the background of mountains, rivers, grass and rising sun. SHRI GOVIND GURU UNIVERSITY Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU), Godhra was established as a teaching and affiliating university by Act Number 24 of September 16, 2015 of Government of Gujarat. SHREE SOMNATH SANSKRIT UNIVERSITY Shree Somnath Sanskrit University (SSSU) was created by the Gujarat State government through the Shree Somnath Sanskrit University Act in 2005 for the research and teaching of Sanskrit literature. The emblem of the university has a traditional lamp placed on a bunch of palm leaf manuscripts and placed in a yellow circle with an orange border. DEFENCE INSTITUTE OF ADVANCE TECHNOLOGY The Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), as it is known today, came into being as the Institute of Armament Studies in 1952 in the CME campus. Patil University (Institution Deemed to be University) was established under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 vide MHRD notification No: F.9-26/2004-U-3 dated September 1, 2005. The emblem of the university is a nib of a pen in reddish brown colour with an open book at the end of the split of the nib, which is surrounded by a rising sun. The upper portion of the nib is shaped like a shield and has black outline. CHRIST Christ (Deemed to be University) was born out of the educational vision of St Kuriakose Elias Chavara. Christ (Deemed to be University) was established as ‘Christ College’ in 1969. SRINATH UNIVERSITY Srinath University is a private university, spread over sixty acres in Jamshedpur in the State of Jharkhand was established in 2021 as a unitary, teaching and residential university by Srinath Group.The logo of the university is written in red with sans serif bold and normal fonts in two lines. The emblem of the university has a caduceus or the staff of Hermes, depicted as a stick with a pair of wings, entwined by two snakes; the map of the State of Assam and an open book placed in a brown toned circle. CENTRAL INSTITUTE OF BUDDHIST STUDIES Before 1959, Ladakhi scholars, novices and monks used to go to Tibet in pursuit of higher monastic Buddhist education and to do extensive research in the famous Mahaviharas and other monastic centres. In the 1950s, this practice came to an abrupt end because of the political situation in Tibet. The Central Institute of Buddhist Studies was established in 1959 with the holy rituals performed by H.E. Skyabje Ling Rinpoche, the senior tutor of His Holiness the fourteenth Dalai Lama. Its emblem has an open book with a printed page and an unprinted page meaning the blank page needs to be filled by the learners. This is ensconced in a blue circular border carrying the university’s core values ‘Leadership, Innovation and Ethics’. These are circumscribed by a white border with blue outlines which carries the name of the university. These concentric circular motifs are supported by a pair of laurels. SHOBHIT UNIVERSITY Shobhit Institute of Engineering and Technology, Deemed to be University known as Shobhit University was established on November 8, 2006. The emblem of the university was conceptualised by Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra and designed by Raashid Rangrez. The circle which has no beginning and end is a universal symbol and represents the notion of totality, wholeness, perfection, the self, the infinite, the eternity and the timelessness in cyclic movement. The outermost boundary of the circle has scalloped shaped edges in yellow ochre. The curves of the scallops depict cupped hands ready to receive the benediction of knowledge from the universe and the eight points represent the eight directions. CHINMAYA VISHWA VIDYAPEETH Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CVV) is a Deemed-to-be-University in the 'de novo' category, started in 2017, the centenary year of the inspirational visionary and founder of Chinmaya Mission and renowned Vedantic master and teacher, Swami Chinmayananda. The logo of Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth is a composition of three elements: a lotus in blossom, the syllable Om which is the signature of Swami Chinmayananda and a flame. The lotus symbolises the blossoming of the inner personality and the transformation of the individual through education. The Om in the centre represents spiritual transformation wherein a person discovers her or his divine essence. SRM UNIVERSITY HARYANA SRM University Haryana (SRMUH) was established as a State Private University under the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2006 (as amended by Haryana Act No. 8 of 2013). The emblem of the university has a motif of a fully grown tree in white colour on a blue circle, ensconced by a white border bearing its name and place. This is circumscribed by an orange circle, a white circle and glowing rays in orange and red. At the bottom on a white banner the university’s motto ‘Learn. Leap. Lead’ is written.
