ACADEMY OF MARITIME EDUCATION AND TRAINING Academy of Maritime Education and Training (AMET) is India's first ‘Deemed to be University’ in its domain of education. The emblem of the university in blue and red has an anchor supported by splashes of water to depict a ship. This is housed in a ship's helm with eight handles. SHER-E-KASHMIR UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY KASHMIR Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) was founded in 1982 by an Act passed by the State Legislature of Jammu and Kashmir. The emblem of the university has a structure of a DNA housing a sheep, pine tree, an apple and heads of cereals placed in the background of mountains, rivers, grass and rising sun. This is topped by its motto ‘भावयविभोर्वै भवम्’ in Sanskrit and Kashmiri, which means ‘Feel the Power of the Lord’. SHARNBASVA UNIVERSITY Sharnbasva University (SU) in Kalaburagi, Karnataka is the first private university to be established in the Kalyana-Karnataka region in 2017. The red and green emblem of the university images of the Sharnabasava supported by banners with slogans in Kannada above and below. SHRI GOVIND GURU UNIVERSITY Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU), Godhra was established as a teaching and affiliating university by Act Number 24 of September 16, 2015 of Government of Gujarat. Its emblem has a vessel - poorna kumbha in which orange, cyan and blue swooshes flow in and blue and yellow humans come out, symbolising the multifaceted input and the turning around of enlightened humans. CENTRAL INSTITUTE OF BUDDHIST STUDIES Before 1959, Ladakhi scholars, novices and monks used to go to Tibet in pursuit of higher monastic Buddhist education and to do extensive research in the famous Mahaviharas and other monastic centres. In the 1950s, this practice came to an abrupt end because of the political situation in Tibet. The emblem of the university was conceptualised by Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra and designed by Raashid Rangrez. CHINMAYA VISHWA VIDYAPEETH Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CVV) is a Deemed-to-be-University in the 'de novo' category, started in 2017, the centenary year of the inspirational visionary and founder of Chinmaya Mission and renowned Vedantic master and teacher, Swami Chinmayananda. The logo of Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth is a composition of three elements: a lotus in blossom, the syllable Om which is the signature of Swami Chinmayananda and a flame. The lotus symbolises the blossoming of the inner personality and the transformation of the individual through education. SRM UNIVERSITY HARYANA SRM University Haryana (SRMUH) was established as a State Private University under the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2006 (as amended by Haryana Act No. 8 of 2013). The emblem of the university has a motif of a fully grown tree in white colour on a blue circle, ensconced by a white border bearing its name and place. This is circumscribed by an orange circle, a white circle and glowing rays in orange and red. At the bottom on a white banner the university’s motto ‘Learn. Leap. Lead’ is written. The tree symbolises strength, individuality and expression, calmness, growth and the interconnectedness of everything.
