INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bhubaneswar is a result of the desire of the Government to establish a world class institute of Information Technology in the state. The Institute was registered as a society in November 2006 and in January 2014, it was converted to a University by the Government of Odisha. The Institute is fully owned by the Government of Odisha. The emblem of the university has a pair of concentric circular lines in orange housing a six petalled flower in green colour supported by its acronym and place. The orange concentric circles symbolise creative energy, potential, self realisation, oneness, equality, connection, simplicity and completeness and the flower with six petals in green denotes peace, connection, nourishment, joy, contentment and support.
