DEEN DAYAL UPADHYAY GORAKHPUR UNIVERSITY The circular seal of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University (DDUGU) has the motifs of a red lotus on flowing water in the presence of rising orange sun in a yellow background. These are ensconced by a light blue circular border with black and red outlines, which bears the name of the university in Devanagari and English. The lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the flowing water denotes life, purification, transformation, change and renewal and the rising sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.
